I boil my chaga by the gallon and store it in the fridge. I drink it within 5-7 days. I reuse my chaga, probably too many times, and freeze it in between.

Most likely you see bacterial overgrowth. We don’t recommend to store chaga in refrigerator more than 36-48 hours after the brewing to prevent bacterial overgrowth. While you store chaga the container needs to be hermetically closed, if it isn’t than the air will promote bacterial growth and the chaga tea will be unusable. We recommend to get rid of the current chaga tea batch. When you brew chaga tea next time, make it lesser amount so it could last you two days the most.
